Purpose

To raise an initial $25,000 by July 2025 for the NAL-UHCL Endowment fund. This amount will support the University of Houston - Clear Lake (UHCL) archive's JSC history collection by perpetually paying for a student intern to work alongside the UHCL Archivists and NAL volunteers to process and organize the JSC collection of papers and artifacts.

Please consider being part of this unique spaceflight historical preservation opportunity. Giving is not limited to NAL members so please inform friends and family about this endowment so they can also be a part in preserving this unique and compelling history!

Instructions for Credit Card Donation

• Click on https://giving.uh.edu/uhcl
• In the Search Funds box type Other
• Click on the drop down “We found 1 matching funds” and then “Endowment-UHCL Other”  
• Choose donation amount
• Click Next
• Select Gift Frequency
• Check box by Additional Info
• In Comments box type “NAL Endowment for the Archives”
• Click Next: Your Info
• Enter Contact Information
• Click Next: Confirm
• Click Make Payment
• Enter Credit Card Information
• Click Finish and Pay

Instructions for Check Donation:

After you have made your gift you will receive an official gift receipt letter in the mail from UHCL which will list the gift designation and the amount given which can be used for tax purposes.  Many companies will match your gift via the company's employee portal so if applicable please take advantage of the opportunity to increase the impact of your gift!

Instructions on how to make a donation from a Donor Advised Fund:

1. Initiate a (new) Grant Disbursement in your account
2. Search for the charity using the EIN 74-6001399.  The name associated with this EIN will probably be the University of Houston system.  You may not see the name or address for UHCL.  This is OK and will be taken care of in subsequent steps.
3. Select this charity (University of Houston, EIN 74-6001399)
4. Enter the grant amount (dollars) 
5. Under Grant Purpose, do not select Use As Needed.  Select Other.
   1. You may need to check a box acknowledging & affirming that this grant will have no personal benefit to you
   2. To answer “Please tell us about how this grant is to be used”, type: “NASA Alumni League (NAL) Johnson Space Center Chapter’s Endowment at UHCL”
6. In the delivery method for the grant check, you may need to type in the appropriate address for the UHCL Advancement Office.
