USN Captain James A. “Jim” Lovell, a Navy pilot and officer, astronaut, leader and space explorer died on August 7, 2025 at the age of 97.

Ralph passed away on July 10, 2025 at the age of 93. He retired from NASA after a 30-year career in the Propulsion and Power Division/EP at MSC/JSC.

Jefferson Davis Howell, Jr., former director of NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, died July 2, 2025 in Bee Cave, Texas. He was 85 years old.

Services will be held August 1, 2025, 10 a.m., at the Texas State Cemetery in Austin, Texas. Texas casual or aloha attire, please. Any remembrance donations may be made to the Semper Fi Fund and Tunnels to Towers Foundation.

Jack passed away on June 30, 2025 at the age of 88. He retired from NASA in 1989 after a 30-year career at MSC/JSC.

Gerry passed away on June 16, 2025 at the age of 73. He retired from NASA after a 30+  year career at JSC.

Tom passed away on June 10, 2025 at the age of 85.

Tom spent his entire MSC/JSC career (1965 to 1998) in the Propulsion and Power Division, first in the Power Generation Branch/EP5 from 1965 to 1986; then from 1986 to 1991 as the Head, Power Generation Section-Power Branch; and then as the Chief, Power Branch/EP5.

Hugh passed away on June 9, 2025. Tom joined the Manned Space Flight center in 1962 and retired from NASA in December 1988.

John passed away on June 7, 2025 at the age of 64.  He was instrumental in shaping the Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory (NBL)—a critical component of NASA’s astronaut training.
