In Memory of JSC Civil Servants

James (Jim) D. Shannon passed away Friday, September 26, 2025 at the age of 88.   He retired from NASA in 1999 after a 37 year career at MSC/JSC.

Friends are cordially invited to the visitation and service with the family on Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, Texas 77546.  Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas.

Sam passed away on September 21, 2025. He retired from NASA after a 30 plus-year career at MSC/JSC.

Dennis passed away on September 5, 2025 at the age of 88. He retired from NASA after a 38-year career at MSC/JSC.

Evelyn passed away on September 5, 2025 at the age of 72. She retired from NASA with over 30 years of service at MSC/JSC.

Stan passed away on August 29, 2025 at the age of 89. He retired from NASA after a 20-year career at MSC/JSC.

Alan passed away on August 23, 2025 at the age of 88. He retired from NASA after a 37-year career at MSC/JSC.

Richard passed away on August 9, 2025 at the age of 81. He had a 26+ year career at  NASA-JSC.

USN Captain James A. “Jim” Lovell, a Navy pilot and officer, astronaut, leader and space explorer died on August 7, 2025 at the age of 97.

Ralph passed away on July 10, 2025 at the age of 93. He retired from NASA after a 30-year career in the Propulsion and Power Division/EP at MSC/JSC.

Jefferson Davis Howell, Jr., former director of NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, died July 2, 2025 in Bee Cave, Texas. He was 85 years old.
